Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and the CMA

On thanksgiving day the nation learned the Country Music Awards would come to New York City, when Katie Couric and Matt Lauer read these lines live on NBC's Macy's Parade broadcast...

KATIE (READ LIVE - ON AIR)
Last year he flew the coop, but this year Tom Turkey is back, furnished by Big3 ENTERTAINMENT. Tom's flapping those wings, rollin' those eyes, and Gobbling about the big news: The Country Music Association brings it's big annual show to New York City next year.
MATT (READ LIVE - ON AIR)
Traveling with Tom-Mercury Records recording artist, Julie Roberts, who brings some Nashville to New York City, with a tune that's called "You Ain't Down Home"

What lead up to Katie & Matt's announcement during the NBC live broadcast of the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade started with an idea. An idea that Celebrity International turned into a reality.

The idea was conceived, in the lobby of New York's famous Algonquin Hotel by a team from Celebrity International and the Country Music Association. What would follow was an elegant and flawless execution of this major scale announcement...

The Country Music Awards are coming to New York City!

Celebrity International would negotiate, develop, and produce this detailed project from start to finish. We negotiated the float with Macy's, the air time with NBC, co-wrote the lines that Matt & Katie would read on the air, designed the float sign with Macy's, coordinated finding just the right performer to sing on the float, found the sponsor to fund everything, and then created a "buzz" about it all.

Matt & Kaite's line's sum it up...

All this effort because we felt there was not a better way to announce to the nation that the Country Music Awards were coming to New York.
